Russian billionaire asks Mazuz in ad: "Indict me or drop the investigation."

"Mr. Mazuz, it's time for you to decide," runs an ad published Thursday morning in several dailies on behalf of Russian-born Israeli billionaire Arkadi Gaydamak.
The ad is directed personally at Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz, and in it Gaydamak demands that Mazuz "act resolutely, to decide whether to close the seemingly endless investigation against me, or to present an indictment, which would provide me with a legal framework through which to prove my innocence."
"This campaign is run by businessmen and other people with personal motivations and as part of it seniors in the justice ministry and police are incited against me," the ad continues.
The last line of the ad runs "I request that you reach a decision as soon as possible and in a timeframe no longer than four weeks. With respect, Arkadi Gaydamak."
The publication of the ad Thursday coincides with the opening of the tent city Gaydamak erected in Tel Aviv, intended to take in some 1,000 Sderot residents throughout the day.
Gaydamak decided to set up the tent city in Tel Aviv after the Jerusalem Municipality did not approve his request to build it in Jerusalem's Sacher Park.
Instead, the municipality offered Gaydamak the use of Tzipori Park on the outskirts of the city, which he rejected.
Jerusalem officials accused Gaydamak of insisting on Sacher Park because of its proximity to the Knesset, saying that his actions were motivated by a desire for media coverage rather than philanthropy.
The Prime Minister's Office said in a statement that the Defense Ministry was giving Sderot residents a chance to refresh themselves by providing vacations, and therefore there was no need for Gaydamak's tent city.
