Gideon Ezra meets Ukraine officials prior to visit

Internal Security Minister Gideon Ezra met with the head of the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel Oleksandr Khomtak and the defense attach Serhiy Lytvynenko ahead of his planned visit to Ukraine next week. The sides discussed enhancing security cooperation between Ukraine and Israel. Ezra asked the Ukrainians for assistance in curbing the trafficking of women to Israel. He plans to the visit the headquarters of a special police unit in Kiev next week established to combat human trafficking. The visit is per the invitation of Ukraine Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko and Ezra will be accompanied by Cmdr. Yohanan Danino - the Internal Security Ministry's liaison to the Israel Police.
