'Golani rebellion' leader returns to regiment

St.-Sgt. Shiran Amsili, one of the leaders of the "Golani rebellion," in which Golani soldiers left their base without permission in protest over certain changes recently instituted by new commanders, returned to the 51st regiment on Thursday, after serving a sentence of nearly two months. Amsili, who is eligible for a commendation for his part in the battle in Bint Jbail during the Second Lebanon War, was expected to meet with the commanders of his regiment and the Golani Battalion. The battalion has still not decided whether to approve a commendation for St.-Sgt. Israel Ben-Lulu, who also took part in the rebellion.
