Haifa: Homeless-killer gets four life sentences

The Haifa District Court on Sunday sentenced Nikolai Boner, a city resident convicted of murdering four homeless people and committing a series of other serious crimes, to four life terms in prison, as well as another 17 years simultaneously. According to the charge sheet, Boner murdered a Haifa resident who invited him to her home, as well as three homeless people who had joined him in drinking. Boner pleaded innocent during his trial, claiming he had only admitted to the allegations because of police threats. Boner's lawyer claimed that his client had not been fully familiar with the content of the document he had initially signed due to his poor grasp of Hebrew. His other crimes included rape and injury.
