Haifa resident throws dog out window, says it 'committed suicide'

A Haifa resident charged with animal abuse was sentenced on Thursday in Haifa's Magistrate's Court to nine months probation, and ordered to pay NIS 10,000.
According to reports, the 61-year-old man killed his dog by throwing it from a fourth-floor window. During his investigation, the man claimed that the dog "committed suicide."
