IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz announced Sunday that the army had begun implementing steps to ease the restrictions on Palestinians at West Bank checkpoints, as was decided earlier this month.
According to the plan, restrictions will also be eased on the transfer of merchandise and other goods from Israel to Palestinian cities in the West Bank.
