Hamas's armed wing denied on Thursday that the Kassam rockets and mortar shells fired at southern Israel on Independence Day were meant to distract attention from an attempt to infiltrate Israel and kidnap soldiers.
Hamas spokesman Abu Obeida said that Hamas was in possession of missiles with a longer range than those that it fired on Tuesday, and that the group could launch some 100 missiles in an hour.
