MK Yoel Hasson (Kadima) proposed a bill on Tuesday that would prohibit the Histadrut Labor Federation from closing down the airports and seaports, Army Radio reported.
According to the proposal, the Histadrut would also be unable to call a general public sector strike without prior approval.
Hasson's proposal came less than a day after the Histadrut announced that a general strike would take place on Wednesday.
