HCJ rejects settlers' compensation appeal

An expanded panel of judges at the High Court of Justice rejected an appeal to cancel certain parts of the "evacuation-compensation law" that withholds reimbursement from Gush Katif settlers who did not leave their houses within the allotted time. The appeal was made by the Legal Forum for the Land of Israel. The High Court determined that regulations instituted to compensate even settlers that did not leave on time made the appeal unnecessary.
