Both the northern and central regions of
Israel will be severely affected by heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds during the next few days, according to Uri Batz, senior forecaster at the Israel Meteorological Service (IMS).
He told
The Jerusalem Post that up until Saturday "and possibly beyond" the extreme weather coming in from Europe would cause a drop in temperature as far down as the northern Negev, as well as precipitating huge flooding in the low lying areas of the country.
Batz added that
Mt. Hermon would experience a snow storm, while light snow is also expected to fall Friday night in the Golan and Northern Galilee.
