The High Court of Justice rejected residents on Tuesday evening a petition by Bir Naballah residents asking the court to issue a temporary prohibition against the construction of the security fence surrounding the northern part of Jerusalem. The decision effectively permitted the completion of the northern route of the separation barrier.
The route of the fence was planned to be built adjacent to the towns of Bir Naballah, Beit Hanina, Al Jib, Judeira and Kalandiya.
