The state on Thursday asked the High Court of Justice to reject out of hand a petition calling on the court to instruct the IDF to cancel an alleged order issued last month reducing the "safety margin" of artillery shells it fires into the Gaza Strip in response to Kassam missile launches.
The state said its request came on the grounds that the court should not intervene with the army's operational decisions.
