High Court: Ramon may serve as Vice Premier despite conviction
By JPOST.COM STAFF
The High Court of Justice rejected petitions by women's organizations against MK Haim Ramon's appointment to Vice Premier after being convicted of an indecent act.
The court stated that there were no legal grounds to invalidate Ramon's appointment, but added that the decision was by no means a "kosher certificate" for the appointment, which it said should be discussed in the public domain.
