High School girls detained for molestation e-mail prank

Two high school teenagers were detained for questioning Sunday in the Jerusalem suburb of Givat Ze'ev after sending a fictitious e-mail to their principal that her husband had sexually molested them, police said. The husband of the principal was apprehended by police, but denied any connection to the 15-year-old teens. He was subsequently released after it emerged that the complaint was fictitious. The two teenagers subsequently confessed to police they sent the e-mail "out of boredom," Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said.
