Homesh: Activists try to paint water tanker orange
By JPOST.COM STAFF
The IDF apprehended four adults and a minor Monday night as the five were painting a water tanker orange in the northern Samaria settlement of Homesh, Army Radio reported Monday. Homesh was one of a few Northern Samaria settlements evacuated during the 2005 disengagement.
All five were taken to Shomron district headquarters for questioning on accounts of disturbing the peace and violating the Disengagement Law, which bars Israelis from entering the sites of settlements evacuated during disengagement.
A pilgrimage to the site is scheduled to take place Tuesday. The event has been approved by the IDF and is the first of its kind to receive such sanction.
