Hospital ward administrators earned most in 2005

The highest-paid public-sector workers in 2005 were the hospital ward administrators for Klalit health care services, who earned NIS 111,000 per month, according to the Finance Ministry's wage report for public-sector employees, which was published on Tuesday. In second place were Bank of Israel board members, who were paid NIS 103,000 per month. Senior health care officials in general were at the top of the list, with the director-general of Meuhedet health care services earning approximately NIS 9,500 and Maccabi's director coming in at some NIS 7,100. Klalit's director earned around NIS 5,600. Other top earners included refinery workers, Ashdod port employees and others in the industrial field.
