How the lost teaching hours will be returned
27 days will come at the expense of vacations and an extension of the school year.
For schools that took part in the strike, the school year will be extended until July 8-11 depending on sector (Jewish, Arab, Druse).
Schools that did not strike will finish the year on June 20.
22 days will be returned through making the school day longer or adding one day a week where the school week is five days long.
Pessah vacation will be reduced by one week.
Teachers will be paid for the lost hours.
