IAF resumes strikes on Beirut after nightfall

Two heavy explosions shook Beirut after nightfall Thursday, apparently from a new Israeli strike on the capital's southern neighborhood, a Hizbullah stronghold. The blast went off around 9 p.m., a time Israel has hit south Beirut like clockwork the past three nights. Lebanese television said the strikes hit south Beirut but had no word on casualties. Many of south Beirut's residents have fled their homes.
