The IDF arrested an Islamic Jihad operative in Ramallah on Wednesday afternoon and five Palestinians were wounded in a gun battle that erupted when troops entered the West Bank city.
Palestinian Preventive Security said an undercover Israeli unit came into the town in a car that was subsequently torched.
The clashes took place in Ramallah's central Manara Square.
