IDF soldiers manning the checkpoint at Hawara, south of Nablus, caught a 16-year-old Palestinian carrying an explosives belt in a bag.
According to the army, troops became suspicious of the youth's movements and inspected the bag, finding the bomb belt.
They isolated the youth and were waiting for sappers to defuse the explosive.
