IDF continue drills in Jaffa and Sharon area

The IDF are continuing drills Wednesday in the Petah Tikva, Jaffa and Sharon regions as part of the largest civil defense exercise ever to be carried out in Israel, Army Radio reported. Hospitals will also participate in the exercise and the public is being asked to try avoid Sheba Hospital at Tel Hashomer, Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, Laniado in Netanya and Hillel Yaffe in Hadera. The drills in Petah Tikva and Jaffa will end at 11 a.m. and in the Sharon area at 4 p.m. The operation, simulating unconventional and rocket attacks, is meant to demonstrate lessons security and rescue forces learned from last summer's war with Hizbullah.
