IDF cracks down on Jewish Legion paramilitary org.

OC Central Command Maj. Gen. Yair Naveh ordered on Sunday morning the closure of the Jewish Legion paramilitary organization, based in the Samaria settlement Kfar Tapuah. Security forces raided the organization's warehouses on Sunday morning, and closed the organization's canine unit, which organization members said provided security for nearby settlements. The organization has been accused of supporting Kahanist principles and the settlement in which it is headquartered became the unofficial headquarters of Kahane Chai in 1990, when the group left Kiryat Arba after locals there dubbed it 'too extreme.' Jewish Legion members said that the raid was a "further example of Israel Police's bolshevism."
