IDF employees arrested for selling army vehicles

Seven IDF employees were arrested before dawn on Monday morning by Israel Police's International Crimes Unit and Army Police for allegedly stealing army vehicles and selling them for profit. Army Radio reported that the suspects, two of whom were senior non-commissioned officers, took cars that the army had retired from its fleet and sold them to relatives and friends, claiming that the military no longer needed them. The investigation began after a complaint was lodged with the Defense Ministry. According to police assessments quoted by Army Radio, the crimes were committed over a period of many years.
