IDF prosecutors pressed charges on Tuesday against a Lieutenant-Colonel whose army-supplied personal laptop computer, containing confidential military files, was stolen two months ago, Army Radio reported. Due to numerous similar incidents in recent months, Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz forbade taking computer outside of IDF bases. The IDF has also stopped purchasing new laptop computers.
