The IDF said on Thursday that weaponry discovered overnight Wednesday by IDF troops patrolling the Lebanese border belonged to Hizbullah operatives, but that it was unclear whether, as some sources speculated, it had been used in the July 12 kidnapping of reservists Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser.
Troops from the 12th Golani Battalion found the equipment - including RPG and LAU missiles and a submachine gun - hidden among the shrubbery at the 105 border marking, where Regev and Goldwasser were kidnapped.
