IDF won't fund recovery of girl wounded in strike

The defense establishment has refused thus far to finance the medical treatment of 3-year-old Maria Mahani from who was wounded in an IDF strike against Muhammad Dahduh of the Islamic Jihad two weeks ago, it was revealed on Wednesday. Mahani's family's car passed by Dahduh's vehicle during the strike, and thus her brother, mother and grandmother were killed and the girl and her uncle sustained serious injuries and were taken to receive treatment at the Sheba Medical Center. The two were then to be transferred to Elyn Hospital in Jerusalem for recovery, although the defense establishment has not yet agreed to pay for it. Doctors for Human Rights told Israel Radio that the Palestinian Authority paid for the medical treatment, but could not afford to fund the recovery as well.
