Illegal immigrant to be released to prevent daughter from sitting in jail

The Interior Ministry said on Thursday it would order a Filipino illegal immigrant be released from prison, after the Haifa District Court ruled that the woman's four-year-old Israeli daughter would stay in detention with her mother.
It is unreasonable that an Israeli minor sit jail, the Interior Ministry explained in a statement.
The girl's father, an Israeli man, is currently battling the mother for custody over the child. The woman is being held in detention until her expected deportation from the country.
