Internal Security Minister Gideon Ezra and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni established an inquiry committee to investigate mishaps that occurred during the investigation of the Perinian brothers.
The head of the inquiry committee is former District Court Judge Vardi Zeiler.
Other members will include Nurit Shneip, former prosecutor in the central district and former head of Police Investigation, Cmdr. Uzi Berger. The committee received authority to investigate the way the police conducted the investigation which began following the murder of known underworld figure Pinhas Buhbot in 1999 and until the murder of former cop turned criminal Tzahi Ben Or in 2004.
The committee, expected to finish the work by end of June 2006, will also investigate the way the prosecution dealt with the case.
