'Israel must try to rescue wounded Gazans'

The High Court of Justice ruled Tuesday that the state must do "everything it can" to enable Palestinian casualties to cross into Israel from the Gaza Strip. Supreme Court Justice Elyakim Rubinstein, who ruled on the petition submitted by "Doctors for Human Rights" and "Gisha" that Erez Crossing be opened immediately to allow the sick and wounded into Israel, said: "Everything Israel can do to save human life must be done today." The High Court decided that an emergency hearing would be conducted by a panel of three judges on Wednesday and demanded that until then, the State Attorney's Office respond to Tuesday's ruling in place of the IDF.
