The world's leading chess teams will meet in Beersheba at the beginning of November for the World Chess Championship, which Israel - currently ranked fifth in the world in chess - will host for the first time.
A total of 60 players will participate in the 10-day, eight-round competition.
The games will take place at the Yad Lebanim center in Beersheba and will be broadcast live on the Internet, with commentary, at www.wccisrael.com.
