Israeli-Palestinian team preparing for PLC voting

The Civil Administration established in the West Bank city of Beit El on Tuesday a joint coordination team with their Palestinian counterparts in order to assist the Palestinian Legislative Council elections slated for Wednesday. Army Radio reported that Arabic-speaking officers were placed at checkpoints in order to make travel through the West Bank easier for prospective voters. Also on Tuesday, the ballots to be used for the elections were brought to the voting stations. Eligible east Jerusalem voters would be able to cast their ballots in any of six post office branches in the city. The stations would be guarded by 1700 police officers.
