Jerusalem: WWII veterans begin march commemorating VE day

A march in Jerusalem commemorating 63 years since the Allied victory over Nazis in Europe has begun, with hundreds of World War II veterans participating. Marchers are scheduled to walk from Zion Square in the center of the cityto Safra Square. Accompanying veterans of the Soviet Red Army are government officials, including Absorption Minister Ya'akov Edri, Opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu, and Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski. The Israel Police band and businessman Arkadi Gaydamak also attended the event.
