J'lem: Haredim violently protest Valis detention

Haredim were blocking traffic in Jerusalem's Mea Shearim neighborhood once again on Friday in protest of the continued detention of Eda Haredit member Yisrael Valis for allegedly abusing and killing his three-month-old son Raphael. Protestors set dumpsters on fire and blocked traffic in Shabbat Square and on Yehezkel Street in Jerusalem. According to the demonstrators, Valis is innocent of the charges and has been "humiliated" by the police and the press. Valis will be held at least until April 25, when he will be up for remand.
