J'lem robber apprehended nude...and in the shower

A 34-year-old Israeli resident of Jerusalem was under arrest Sunday after breaking into a city home, and using the apartment's facilities while in the nude for two nights in a row, police said. The unusual thief was found by the apartment resident stripped naked shaving in the shower, with beer bottles strewn all over the music-blaring apartment. After the first break-in, the tenant failed to summon police since he had met the man at a funeral for a neighbor the day before, police said. The suspect then broke into the apartment in the city's Talpiot neighborhood on Saturday night for the second straight night, and was sitting on the living room armchair in the nude when the resident got home, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. When the owner threatened to call police, the nude robber went to take a shower in the flat, where police apprehended him. The suspect was remanded in custody for three days Sunday by the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court, during which time he will be sent for a psychiatric evaluation. If found fit, he will be ordered out of the city for the next three months, and forbidden to enter the complainant's house, police said.
