Kadima continues to surge in the polls

Despite Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's hospitalization, Kadima continued to gain strength in recent polls, two and a half months before the elections. According to the average of four polls published over the weekend - Teleseker, Dahaf, Dialogue and Smith - Kadima was up two mandates since last week to reach 42 Knesset seats, Army Radio reported. Labor continued its slide and recorded 17 mandates, down two in comparison to last week. The Likud, meanwhile, did not register any changes, holding still at 14.
