Kadima-UTJ negotiations stall

Negotiations between United Torah Judaism and Kadima fell through on Sunday night. A senior member of UTJ said, following the meeting, that "the achievements of Shas regarding allocations are complete nonsense. Shas brought no gain at all." According to the official, "it looked like Kadima pulled one over on Shas." The promise of a NIS 700 million fund is for three years, and is meant for children at risk, he noted. "It has no connection to allocations." Some UTJ members left the meeting early, fuming.
