In the latest violation of the fragile Gaza truce, a Kassam rocket landed near a greenhouse belonging to a western Negev kibbutz on Wednesday evening. No damage or casualties were reported. Defense officials have warned that Israel will respond forcefully to any further violations of the ceasefire. On Saturday, during clashes between Hamas gunmen and members of the Fatah-linked Hilles clan, several mortar shells were fired into Israel. Security officials assessed the shells were directed against the clan, warning that power struggles within Gaza could easily spill over into Israel.
