Katsav trial postponed again as attorneys demand additional documents

The trial of former president Moshe Katsav has been postponed again, after his attorneys appealed to the Jerusalem Magistrate's court on Wednesday night to require the prosecution to give them additional information, Army Radio reported on Thursday. One member of Katsav's legal staff, Avraham Lavi, explaining the reason for the request, said that "the affidavit that Tourism Ministry Aleph submitted is false." Sources in the prosecution said on Thursday morning that the request was a stalling tactic and that Katsav's lawyers were requesting documents that were not part of the investigative material.
