A 20-year-old volunteer on Kibbutz Dalya was arrested Saturday by Afula Police on suspicion that he raped a fellow volunteer. The female volunteer reported the incident to police Saturday morning, saying that she woke up in the male volunteer's room, without remembering how she got there.
The two both had been drinking at the kibbutz's pub, when the female volunteer began to feel unwell. The male volunteer told police that he had accompanied her to his room where, he says, they had consensual sexual relations.
The suspect was brought on Saturday night to the Nazareth Magistrate's Court for an extension of remand.
