Kibbutzniks help Palestinians fix olive trees

Twenty kibbutz residents came to the Palestinian town of Yatta near Hebron on Saturday to help the locals prune olive trees and try to fix damage done to them. Upon arriving at the fields, they found 20 dunams which they suspected were plowed by settlers for seeding. According to Army Radio, the kibbutzniks decided to plow the field anew to prepare it for seeding by Palestinians. At the same time, the United Kibbutz Movement issued a statement supporting Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, backing his decision to evacuate three illegal outposts, including Sakaly from which the olive tree saboteurs allegedly came.
