Lebanon to sue Israel over damages from oil spill

Lebanon was preparing to file a lawsuit against Israel for collateral damage resulting from an oil spill on Lebanese shores during the war, Army Radio reported Wednesday. Lebanon's environment minister said Wednesday evening that the spill, which he termed "the worst environmental tragedy ever in Lebanon," was a result of IAF airstrikes. He added that it would take at least a year and cost over a billion dollars to clean it up. The lawsuit will take place via the UN at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
