Left-wing groups protest IDF shelling of Gaza

Some 100 women and men from various left-wing organizations marched in protest of the IDF's continued shelling of the Gaza Strip. The shelling, which has killed at least 13 people, is a response to Kassam rockets fired at Israel recently. The protesters - including members from the Coalition of Women for Peace, Gush Shalom, Hadash Movement, and Anarchists Against the Wall - walked from Tel-Aviv's seaside Hassan Beck Mosque along the Yarkon Street and past foreign embassies, holding signs saying, "In Passover we celebrate freedom while in Gaza - the largest prison in the world - Israel is shedding blood." Adi Dagan, spokeswoman for the women's coalition, said her organization "calls upon foreign governments to intervene and to stop the Israeli terror in the Occupied Palestinian Territories."
