Lieberman: If Shalit harmed, make Haniyeh a martyr

Israel Beiteinu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman responded on Sunday to Palestinian warnings that IDF operations in Gaza would endanger kidnapped soldier Cpl. Gilad Shalit, by saying that if anything happened to Shalit, "we'll make [Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail] Haniyeh a shahid (martyr)."
Earlier, Lieberman came under harsh criticism from MKs for proposing that Israel follow Cyprus's example and separate Arabs from the Israeli population.
