Strategic Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman will head to Russia on Sunday evening to meet with the head of the National Security Council, the head of the Russian Nuclear Energy Council and President Vladimir Putin's political adviser, Israel Radio reported.
Lieberman is expected to raise the issue of Iran's nuclear armament, as well as Russia's weapons transactions with Syria and the subject of the two IDF reservists, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, who are currently being held by Hizbullah.
Hamas political head Khaled Mashaal is also expected to visit Moscow on Sunday, according to the report, and it's possible that the Russians could try to mediate between the two politicians.
Lieberman's office refused to respond to the report.
