In a sparsely attended event, the Likud Central Committee decided that primaries for head of Likud will be held on August 14.
As it currently stands following Silvan Shalom's decision to opt out of the race, reigning Likud Chairman MK Binyamin Netanyahu will be challenged only by Moshe Feiglin, head of the Likud's "Jewish Leadership" camp.
"We believe we can…take the country out of the mud," Netanyahu told committee members.
