Likud: Commission proves gov't oblivious to public

The cabinet's approval of the Winograd commission of inquiry is another proof that the government is disconnected from the Israeli public, the Likud said after the commission meant to investigate the war in Lebanon passed by a 20-2 margin on Sunday.
"We are calling for the unconditional establishment of state commission of inquiry, whose members are appointed according to law by the president of the supreme court," they added.
Only two ministers voted against the government commission - Labor MKs Ofer Paz-Pines and Eitan Cabel - while Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz abstained.
