Chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee Ya'acov Litzman (United Torah Judaism) on Tuesday refused to allow Shinui to transfer NIS 1.5 million to the Diasporah Museum.
Litzman claimed to block the transfer because he suspected the money originated from funding for religious services.
According to Israel Radio, the money was supposed to come from funds given to Shinui in exchange for its support of the national budget.
MK Ehud Rassabi accused Litzman of blocking the transfer out of political interests since the request was put forth by Shinui.
