Livni and Peres want FM position if Shalom leaves

Kadima members Tzipi Livni and Shimon Peres indicated Tuesday morning that they were interested in taking the place of Silvan Shalom as foreign minister if he decided to leave as part of a Likud ministerial initiative. Gideon Ezra, in an Army Radio interview, chastised any Kadima members who were bickering over ministerial appointments, saying, "in his opinion it damaged the party." Likud party leader Binyamin Netanyahu officially called upon all Likud ministers to leave the government earlier that morning.
