Livni says 'yes, yes, yes' to Palestinian state

The ideals of Israel as both a Jewish and a democratic state need not clash and are "interwoven," explained Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni on Monday. Livni, who addressed the sixth Herzliya Conference, also said that "we must say yes, yes, yes to a Palestinian nation-state. But," she added, "we must make sure that this does not lead to the establishment of a terrorist state that continues to threaten Israel."
