Parents killed, 3 kids hurt in Sharon car crash; witness: Driver ran red light.

Taiba resident Awani Jabara, 47, was under investigation for negligent manslaughter Sunday following a tragic traffic accident on Saturday that left a husband and wife dead and their three children in hospital.
Police were considering charging the suspect with the crime after they received testimony from an eyewitness, who claimed that the accident had occurred when the man ran a red light.
The Kfar Saba Magistrate's Court rejected the police requested to extend Jabara's remand and Judge Clara Raginiano rebuked the police officer who asked her to conduct a hearing in the suspect's absence.
Raginiano stressed that she could not arrest the suspect without the permission of his doctor who was unable to attend the court. Israel Radio reported that the judge advised the officer to release the suspect at 10 p.m. Sunday night, after 24 hours in custody, and call him for a hearing Monday morning.
Menahem and Nina Visler, z"l, were killed Saturday when their car collided with the suspect's jeep outside the village of Tzur Yigal in the Sharon, near Kochav Yair. The couple was laid to rest on Sunday afternoon.
Their 10-year-old daughter was seriously injured in the crash, and their two other children sustained light to moderate injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle also sustained light to moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, MK Gilad Erdan (Likud) submitted a bill Sunday, proposing that if a driver commits three serious traffic offences within 15 years, his license will be permanently disqualified, unless the court rules otherwise.
Examples of the serious offenses defined by Erdan included driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, illegally driving through a train crossing and driving while serving a suspension.
